* China's state TV showed footage of a live-fire drill over disputed waters
* 'Flying Leopard' fighter jets were sent to detect and expel 'foreign enemies'
* Pilots also practised firing naval mines and missiles during the exercises
Beijing has showcased its self-built fighter bombers, 'Flying Leopard', during a live-fire drill over the South China Sea.
Footage of the mock battle was aired yesterday on the China Central Television Station (CCTV), the nation's state broadcaster.
The two-seat fighter jets took part in a series of exercises. One of them involved the detection and expulsion of foreign military surveillance aircraft, such as those deployed regularly in the area by the U.S. and others.
