Life in Puerto Rico After Hurricane Maria (Video)

WNU Editor: Puerto Rico's infrastructure was already in disrepair before Hurricane Maria .... after Hurricane Maria passed it was destroyed. Am I surprised that the infrastructure has not been replaced .... no. Two months ago I commented on my own personal story of trying to connect my chalet in Quebec (Canada) to the grid. It took months to accomplish this .... even though I paid for the transformer/polls/and wire, did the paperwork, and hired the crew to do this job. I am just a small no-body .... Puerto Rico is a bigger place. That is why my original prediction on how long it will take to restore Puerto Rico still holds .... the priority has been to make sure that the hospitals and other vital institutions are wired first and running (which they have already done). The next step is to take everyone else .... and that is going to take a very very long time .... years in fact. Are people frustrated .... yes .... but these things take time, and in a place like Puerto Rico which has a history of corruption coupled with economic and societal problems .... probably longer.
