Impossibly, Harlan Ellison, who relished his status as science fiction & fantasy's chief curmudgeon and controversial, celebrated raconteur, has died. He was 84.— B&N Sci-Fi & Fantasy (@BNSciFi) June 28, 2018
This is a piece we published last year, reflecting on his storied career: https://t.co/mVcTPxsj9S pic.twitter.com/0UHN3aD45g
WNU Editor: I have always been a big fan of his work. Had the privilege of meeting him only once at a sci-fi convention in San Francisco years ago .... he did not disappoint. His last words are also not a surprise ....
.... “For a brief time I was here, and for a brief time, I mattered.”—HE, 1934-2018.
Update: This is priceless ....
