Daily Star: Russia 'plotting Christmas Eve invasion' with 100,000 troops amassing on Ukraine border  

Both the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign Office have refused to comment on what action the UK might take in the event of an invasion by Russia - which is looking likely 

It would coincide with the 42nd anniversary of the Soviet Union’s ill-fated invasion of Afghanistan.

Colonel Richard Kemp, a former commander in Afghanistan said: “There is no possibility of direct military intervention by the UK, NATO or the US in the event of a Russian attack against Ukraine.

WNU Editor: I follow Russian news and social media very closely. A lot of people are talking and speculating, but I do not see any concrete evidence that 100,000 Russian soldiers are about to invade Ukraine this week. I could be wrong (which I doubt), but we will know for sure in the coming days.
