Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday denied Russia had taken the key eastern city of Bakhmut.
"Bakhmut is not captured by the Russian Federation today. There cannot be two or three interpretations of this," he said, according to Fox News.
Zelenskyy appeared to be clarifying comments he made earlier at the G7 summit in Japan regarding Bakhmut, where a more than 8-month-long battle has reduced the city to rubble and claimed thousands of lives.
