‘Candid’ images released by North Korea’s official news agency show the reclusive state’s leader and Xi Jinping smiling and making a toast
Kim Jong-un and Chinese President Xi Jinping smiling over glasses of red and white wine is just one of several “candid” images that have been released following the North Korean leader’s unexpected visit to Beijing.
The photo of the pair apparently raising their wine glasses in a toast at the end of a banquet was published by North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Wednesday.
The leader of the reclusive state met Xi during a trip to China on Tuesday, his first overseas visit since he became North Korea’s leader.

WNU Editor: The only thing that we know about this trip is what Chinese and North Korean state media have said .... and President Trump's tweet this morning. And what did they say .... China invited North Korean Kim Jong-Un for talks in Beijing (to me this was more a request that could not be refused .... but I digress). Kim Jong-Un was in China for 4 days .... of which 2 were spent in discussions with Chinese leaders. Chinese and North Korean media only admitted that Kim Jong Un was in China after he had got back to North Korea. Chinese state media also declared that Kim Jong-Un has given his assurances that North Korea will denuclearize. President Trump tweeted this morning that he had talked to Chinese President Xi this morning, and the Chinese President told him that the talks and discussions went well. That is it .... nothing more. As for the main stream media's narrative that the Chinese President adopted a fatherly altitude toward the North Korean leader, or that this visit strengthens North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un's negotiations with President Trump .... or that they had a great time talking and drinking .... this is all bunk. No one in the media knows what really happened in these talks .... and no one will know for a long time.
