Paul Bedard, Washington Examiner: War drums: 64% back US military action if Iran attacks

Americans are generally willing to take a hard line if Iran and any of its proxies attack the United States, according to a new poll.

Zogby Analytics found that 64% agree that if attacked, “the U.S. should take military action against Iran.”

About one-third said they “strongly agree” with retaliation, said Zogby in the survey provided to Secrets.

The administration has been sending mixed signals on its plans with Iran. President Trump has both rattled a saber and offered negotiations. Iran has received blame for the recent damage to several oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman.
