* Yahoo News-YouGov poll finds Biden's lead down to just six points over Trump
* The six-point advantage is the smallest margin in at least two months
* Surveys showed Biden winning by as much as 11 points before GOP convention
* Trump tweeted numbers from poll showing him winning popular vote
* President also claimed he is ahead in key battleground states like Florida, Iowa
Joe Biden’s lead over President Trump has shrunk to six points, the smallest margin in some two months, according to the first public opinion poll conducted since the close of last week’s Republican National Convention.
A Yahoo News-YouGov survey which was done over the course of this past Thursday and Friday found that Biden maintains a 47 per cent to 41 per cent advantage over the incumbent.
The poll shows about a two-and-a-half per cent shift from Biden to Trump compared to a survey conducted by Yahoo News-YouGov a month ago which showed the Democratic former vice president up by slightly less than 9 percentage points.

Sunday Express: US election 2020: Trump handed huge boost as Biden makes major mistake - Exclusive poll
DONALD TRUMP is on course for a clear victory in the US Presidential election after he opened up a three point lead over Joe Biden in an exclusive poll for the Sunday Express.
According to the latest monthly Democracy Institute (DI)/ Sunday Express poll President Trump has 48 percent of the popular support over former Vice President Biden’s 45 percent.
In the key swing states the gap is even bigger with 49 percent for Trump to 42 percent for Biden giving the incumbent US President an almost unassailable seven point lead.

WNU Editor: I have always liked the polling done by the Democracy Institute. Unlike other polls (like the above YouGov Poll), they do not under-represent Republicans. Republicans tend to make up about 34% of the electorate during Presidential elections, not the 23% that I am always seeing in the polls that say Joe Biden is ahead by anywhere from 6% to 10% (In this poll 33% are Republicans, 35% are Democrats at %35). The Democracy Institute also use a polling sample that is 50% larger than what most polls use (1500 and more respondents). There is other polling data from the Democracy Institute that confirms what I have been feeling for the past few weeks. President Trump is going to double or triple his support from Blacks (I think it will be more). Hispanics support will also surpass what President Trump got in 2016. Not surprised by this number .... 80% do not favour the destruction of monuments. The economy and law and order are the top issues for most voters. Not Covid-19. There is more. Much more in this poll. So check it out.
Update: Both polls do not talk about voter enthusiasm in this election cycle. So how enthusiastic are the voters? On this question, I am in agreement with Michael Moore .... Michael Moore says Donald Trump is on course to win in November because 'enthusiasm in his base is off the charts' - as new poll shows the president's popularity rising in swing states (Daily Mail).
Update #2: If the Biden strategy was working, they would not be making him do this trip tomorrow .... Biden, Speaking to National Guard Group, Takes Aim at Republican Criticism on Crime (NYT). My gut tells me that the Biden campaign are seeing what I am seeing in these polling numbers. That former vice President Biden needs to go on the campaign trail to win.
