WNU editor: I am not sure about this story. President Trump was blunt throughout 2020 in blaming China for unleashing the Covid-19 pandemic. I do not see how letting China eavesdrop on Secretary Of State Pompeo's phone conversations with his counterparts at the Five-eyes bloc would have changed anything.
