New York Post: ‘I need ammunition, not a ride’: Zelensky declines US evacuation offer 

The US government offered to evacuate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from Kyiv — but he declined.

“The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” Zelensky said, The Associated Press reported, citing a senior American intelligence official with direct knowledge of the conversation. 

Zelensky, 44, instead chose to remain in Ukraine’s capital as Russian forces brought the fight to the city streets, where gunfire and explosions were heard overnight Friday into Saturday.

WNU Editor: U.S. intelligence has no doubts on how this war is going to end. So they are seeing it from a military point of view and they want ot minimize the loss of life and position the U.S. on a post-war Ukraine. 

Zelensky is seeing this from a Ukrainian internal political view, as well as a personal war between him and Putin. It will be completely against his character to flee the capital and country right now. Like Putin. He is totally committed right now to win this war regardless on what it will cost.
