Positioning to Fire
Army pilots maneuver an AH-64D Apache helicopter into the first firing position during an aerial gunnery exercise at Fort Stewart, Ga., Oct. 21, 2016. The pilots are assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment. The exercise was incorporated into the unit’s Light Horse Focus training exercise, which allows aviators to maintain their qualifications while ground support personal expand their readiness.
