U.S. President-elect Donald Trump slammed the Chinese navy’s capture of an American Navy underwater drone in international waters in the South China Sea, just hours after the country signaled it wants to resolve the issue smoothly.
“China steals United States Navy research drone in international waters -- rips it out of water and takes it to China in unprecedented act,” Trump wrote Saturday in a Twitter post. In an earlier tweet, Trump misspelled the word as “unpresidented.”
The tweet was sent hours after the Chinese government said it has been in touch with the U.S. military about the incident.

President-elect Trump has responded quickly to this seizure, interestingly .... this was not brought up at yesterday's press conference with President Obama. In fact .... President Obama's only comment on China was a warning to President-elect Trump to not change U.S. China policy .... Obama says China would not take change in U.S. policy on Taiwan lightly (Reuters).
