WNU Editor: Cannot say that I am surprised. The optics are just horrible if this was to proceed. Elderly Americans, veterans, and the vulnerable being passed over for 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and 40 other 'Gitmo' detainees. You just cannot make this up. But what I would like to know is what will happen to Biden appointee Terry Adirim, principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, who signed this mindless memo. My prediction is nothing.
Update: Claims that it is because of Republican outrage that these vaccine shots have been paused is outrageous .... Vaccine Plan For Gitmo Paused After Outrage From Republicans (Forbes). This is not a partisan issue.
