The Guardian: Poland to give MiG-29 jets to US for expected donation to Ukraine
Poles are believed to have 28 Soviet-era fighters which they hope the US will replace with newer American planes
Poland has said it will hand over its MiG-29 fighter jets to the US, which is then expected to donate them to Ukraine amid intelligence agency warnings that Vladimir Putin is about to “double down” in his invasion.
The Polish foreign minister, Zbigniew Rau, said his government was “ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MiG-29 jets to the Ramstein air base and place them at the disposal of the government of the United States of America”.
Poland is thought to have 28 of the Soviet-era warplanes, and has been in negotiation with the Biden administration on a three-way deal to supply Ukraine with air power, on condition that the MiGs would be replaced by newer US jets.

WNU Editor: How will these jets be transferred from the US Air Force’s Ramstein Air Base in Germany to Ukraine? And how will Ukraine be able to maintain these jets since most of their airfields have been targeted and the resources to maintain and arm these jets to be operational are limited at best? The reporter in the above video is justifiably confused.
As to what is my take.
This makes no sense unless you want to use this American air base to launch airstrikes using these MiGs against Russian forces in Ukraine .... or to pull a pr-stunt to show the US trying to do something. I hope for all of our sake this is just a pr-stunt.
