Russian President Putin Rules Out Further Major New Strikes On Ukraine For Now

 

Daily Mail: Putin warns of 'global catastrophe' if NATO troops clash directly with Russia and says there is 'no need for massive strikes on Ukraine... FOR NOW' as he announces mobilisation will be over in two weeks 

* The Russian president spoke today from Astana, Kazakhstan after a meeting between ex-Soviet allied states 

* He said his mobilisation was getting close to achieving its target of calling up 300,000 new troops 

* Russian strongman insisted it was not his goal to destroy Ukraine, and said he had no regrets over invasion 

* Fears have risen in recent weeks over the possibility of Moscow launching nuclear strikes against Ukraine 

* These have been heightened after Russia suffered a series of embarrassing setbacks in recent weeks 

Vladimir Putin said today that a direct clash between NATO and Russian troops would lead to a 'global catastrophe', adding that he sees no need to carry out massive strikes against Ukraine... 'for now'. 

The Russian strongman also said the recent military mobilisation he ordered is coming to an end, and he has no plans for further conscriptions once it has finished. 

He also repeated the Kremlin position that Russia was willing to hold talks, although he said they would require international mediation if Ukraine was willing to take part.

WNU Editor: I am sure Russian air/missile/drone strikes will continue albeit at a lower intensity. The priority right now for the Kremlin is to mobilize 200,000 to 300,000 men. To train and equip them, followed by deploying them to Ukraine and elsewhere.
